About The Job

Sandy Spring Bank is currently recruiting a Commercial Post Closer in the Loan Administration Department.  If you are the chosen candidate, you will be responsible for reviewing attorney and internally prepared loan packages to prepare for booking.  You will demonstrate the ability and experience to comprehend structure of complex deals and input into tracking system.  You will review and fully comprehend complex real estate, legal and credit approval documentation, secure missing documentation and resolve any questionable issues prior to submitting loan for booking.  You will work with all types of Commercial Loans, both basic and complex.

 

Areas of Focus:

  • Perform review of executed loan documentation to assure accuracy and compliance with established documentation standards, procedures and policies.

  • Identify dates, collateral, loan structure, reporting requirements, loan covenants and other controllable items that need to be tracked.

  • Interact with RM’s, PM’s and branch personal to ensure documentation is complete and accurate.

  • Interact with attorneys and/or title companies for information needed when reviewing documents.

  • Participate in development of department processes.

  • Represent the Bank and the unit in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Answer questions from lenders and staff regarding documentation of loans.

  • Assist co-workers as needed during times of peak volume and staff absences.

 

Required Skills:

  • High School diploma required.

  • 2-5 years work experience in lending and a broad knowledge of commercial loan documentation and related compliance regulations.

  • Familiarity with real estate recordings, UCC recordings and other lien perfection documents.

  • Must be Results oriented.

  • Must have competent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a time-critical environment.
