About The Job

 
Sandy Spring Bank is currently recruiting a RSS Universal Banker in the Retail Division.  If you are the chosen candidate, you will be responsible for delivering a remarkable in-branch experience for clients by providing a concierge style of banking.  You will provide support and service for all client’s needs while visiting our community offices.  You will open and process all types of deposit and loan accounts, cross-sell additional bank services and refer clients to other departments as appropriate.  The Universal Banker will have a full understanding of how to process a variety of financial transactions as well as develop and deepen relationships with clients based on trust and the demonstrated ability to identify client needs and consult clients on Sandy Spring Bank products and services.  You will answer questions and/or resolve complex technical problems or client accounts.  You will comply with all Federal, State and local consumer protection laws governing loan origination.  The Universal Banker will also be responsible for temporary coverage for open Personal Banker/Universal Banker and Teller positions in branches or as assigned.

Required Skills:

 
Minimum of 1 year work experience in a sales/service position, preferably in the financial services industry.  Knowledge and expertise in retail banking and relationship sales and applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
Must be a self-starter, with the ability to develop strong, trusting relationships and work well under tight deadlines and with multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Knowledge of and the ability to use PC based software.
Successful registration with and issuance of a unique identification number from the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) in compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (S.A.F.E. Act).
