About The Job
Location: Maryland (Montgomery County)
Sandy Spring Bank is currently recruiting a Senior Credit Officer in the Credit Risk Management Department. If you are the chosen candidate you will be responsible for a segment of the Bank’s credit approval, administration and review activities. You will also be responsible for monitoring credit quality, providing input into the development and implementation of sound loan policies as well as communication of policies. You will work with Relationship Managers and Market Leaders on the approval of loans, ensuring that the credits adhere to existing credit policy guidelines and that applicants are deemed credit worthy. Additionally, you will identify potential problem credits and work with loan workout manager to restructure and/or minimize losses.

Management of Credit Administration Process
Development and Implementation of Bank Credit Policy, Procedures and Work Standards
Key Business Partner
Bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum of 10 to 15 years of increasingly responsible job-related experience.
Experience with personal computer systems and standard desktop processing software.
Strong, well-developed interpersonal skills.
High level of analytical skills to conduct loan analyses, monitor progress of market trends, credit/interest rates, economic conditions and other related factors.
