About The Job
Sandy Spring Bank
is currently recruiting a Mortgage Closing Coordinator in the Mortgage
Department. If you are the chosen candidate, you will be responsible for
providing administrative support to the mortgage division’s closing department
under the supervision of the Mortgage Closing Team Lead. Additionally, you will
provide support to other operations departments within the division at the
discretion of the Mortgage Operations Manager.
Areas of focus:
1. Monitors
“Mortgage Closing” Proxy email box for loan closing scheduling requests and
receipt of title work for loan files.
2. Schedules
loan closings by entering applicable data into Encompass software.
3. Performs
data entry in Encompass software under the supervision of the Mortgage Closing
Team Lead.
4. Performs
follow up calls to title companies to obtain required title insurance
documentation for mortgage loan files.
5. Obtains
necessary property, flood or other insurance from insurance companies with
necessary mortgage clause information.
6. May
be required to perform general administrative or secretarial duties such as
distributing mail, scanning, or sending mail at the discretion of the Mortgage
Operations Manager.
Required Skills:
1. Position
requires one to three years of administrative experience preferably in a mortgage
or banking institution to acquire advanced organizational skills.
2. Basic
computer skills are necessary using Windows products. Attention
to detail required. Position involves
exposure to information of a highly confidential nature requiring tact and
discretion.
3. Excellent communications skills are required. Represents the Bank professionally in order to
maintain a positive rapport inside and outside the organization.
4. Work
is under occasional supervision where independent judgment is sometimes
required in the interpretation of existing policies and procedures where the
guidelines are limited. Refers unusual
matters to supervisor.
