About The Job

Sandy Spring Bank is currently recruiting a Loan Servicer I, II, III in the Loan Servicing department.  If you are the chosen candidate, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to servicing new and existing loans including but not limited to Commercial, Consumer and Mortgage loans.  You will be responsible for booking new and modified loans into the core system (IBS) as well as perform a variety of duties such as payments, payoffs, loan account maintenance, general ledger entries, department report reviews and other assigned duties.  Some customer contact is required at all levels and familiarity with FIS IBS loan system is preferred.

Required Skills:

Problem solving skills, ability to multi-task and handle large work volumes while maintaining accuracy.
Highly detail oriented with critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry and analysis.
Interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
Team player and ability to establish an overall collaborative working relationship.
Ability to use standard office equipment and experience using personal computer systems including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and database applications.
Interpersonal and telephone skills.

Loan Servicing Levels:

Level I:  Position requires 1-2 years work experience in loan servicing or related banking/mortgage experience.  Varied level of problem solving skills is required at this level.  Situations require operational knowledge of the work of the unit which may involve a range of possible solutions of a semi-complex nature. 

Level II:  Position requires 2-3 years of work experience in loan or mortgage servicing with a strong systems background.  Varied level of problem solving skills is required at this level.  Situations require operational knowledge of the work of the unit which may involve a range of possible solutions of a semi-complex nature. 

Level III:  Position requires 3-4 years banking experience with exposure to all 3 types of loans and /or strong systems background. Familiarity with accounting principles and balancing accounts also necessary. Advanced problem solving skills are needed to find solutions to problems that are complex and require collection, interpretation, and analysis of data from multiple sources.
