About The Job

 
Sandy Spring Bank is currently recruiting a Post Closing Specialist in the Loan Administration department.  If you are the chosen candidate, you will be responsible for following established procedures, performing a variety of duties related to post closing processing of consumer and home equity loan packages received from branch offices.  Work experience in lending and broad knowledge of consumer and mortgage loan documentation and processing and legal issues is required.

Areas of Focus:

 
Receives, reviews and processes incoming loan packages to ensure accuracy of documentation.
Sends legal documentation for recording, processes loan fees, disburses funds, updates tickler tracking system for follow up, prepares packages for document imaging.
Contact attorneys and/or title companies for information or assistance needed to ensure documents are recorded in a timely manner.
Inputs loan data into the Loan Origination system and records missing/incomplete loan documentation for follow up
Generates and manages the Monthly Attorney Report and ensures all loans are delivered to Investor by delivery date.

Required Skills:

 
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in lending and possesses a broad knowledge of mortgage loan documentation and processing, including modification, and attorney closings.
Working understanding of the loan Accounting System and Credit Administration procedures.
A varied level of problem solving skills is required.
Ability to operate standard office equipment such as a keyboard, copier, facsimile machine, etc.  Experience using work processing and spreadsheet applications required.
