About The Job
Location: Columbia, MD
Hours: Monday-Friday (flexible schedule - some days beginning at 7 am)
Sandy Spring Bank is currently recruiting a Maintenance Technician III in the Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Department. If you are the chosen candidate, you will under occasional supervision, perform a variety of duties pertaining to the general maintenance and upkeep of all properties and buildings owned by the company.
Areas of Focus:
Respond to calls and requests for maintenance or repair services, assess situations and determine course of action consulting with manager only for unusual situations.
Obtain necessary resources and perform general repairs as needed. Provide routine maintenance services as requested or needed.
Perform inspections of all facilities in accordance with the schedule provided by the Division Manager, noting deficiencies, repairs and/or suggested renovations.
Manage single source providers to perform general repairs and system upgrades on Sandy Spring Bank Facilities.
Manage minor construction projects from scoping, bidding and follow through to completion.
Responsible for providing vendors training and guidance in all aspects of Sandy Spring Bank policies, procedures and service level guidelines.
Attend contractor meetings and provide technical support to contractors.
Work on on-call basis 24 hours a day to meet emergency needs that occur in hours outside normal business day.
Provide Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Team support as needed.
Sufficient experience in general maintenance duties to acquire a mid-level of knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing and carpentry to affect semi-complex repairs.
Current state issued driver’s license and the skill to operate a company motor vehicle responsibly and safely. Travel to all company leased and owned properties as needed.
Analytical ability required to research and analyze data pertaining to problems of a routine nature where selection of alternatives is limited but where standard policies are established.
Internal and external contact in order to furnish and obtain information requiring cooperation. Interpersonal skills required.
Work is under occasional supervision where independent judgement is sometimes required in the interpretation of existing policies and procedures where the guidelines are limited.
